Welcome to the Dafy Gaming Hub’s central resource for everything Kenshi. If you’ve ever been dropped into a brutal, unforgiving sandbox RPG that truly defines player freedom, you know what this game is about. It doesn’t hold your hand. It doesn’t care about your hero’s journey. It just gives you a world and asks one thing: can you survive?
This page is my curated collection of guides, mod lists, and thoughts on one of the most unique RPGs ever made. It’s a tough world out there, let’s get you prepared.
You are not the chosen one; in fact, you’re not even important. You start as just another body, potential food for beak things, in a world that absolutely does not scale with you.

Kenshi Review: A Brutal Masterpiece?
I’ve poured hundreds of hours into the unforgiving world of Kenshi, and my verdict is in. Kenshi is a storytelling engine powered by your own failures and triumphs. It’s a masterpiece of sandbox design, but it’s definitely not for everyone. I recommend it to anyone tired of linear narratives, and I’m honored that this verdict was even endorsed by the developers, Lo-fi Games.
“If you’ve not yet dipped your toes into Kenshi, this review is a great introduction, delving into a fair few of the game’s features, foes and factions. Thanks Dafy!”

All Kenshi Posts
At the end of the day, I love Kenshi because it respects my intelligence and my freedom as a player. It’s a world that doesn’t revolve around me, and that’s what makes conquering a piece of it so satisfying.

Kenshi FAQ
Kenshi has no traditional story you create your own. The world is a post-apocalyptic wasteland where ancient empires have fallen. Various factions control territories: the Holy Nation (religious extremists), Shek Kingdom (warrior culture), United Cities (slavers), and others.
You start as nobody and set your own goals: build a base, run a trade empire, become a thief, overthrow factions, or just survive. There’s no main quest.
Kenshi doesn’t have traditional difficulty settings, but you can adjust the experience:
Starting scenarios: “Wanderer” is balanced for beginners. “Rock Bottom” is brutal (enslaved, one arm). “Holy Sword” gives advantages.
Combat slider: Default (1.0x) recommended for first playthrough. Lower for easier combat, raise for harder.
I recommend default settings with Wanderer scenario to learn mechanics first.
Minimum (720p-1080p, Low-Medium):
- CPU: Dual-core 64-bit
- GPU: Pixel shader 5.0 capable
- RAM: 6GB
- Storage: 14GB
Recommended (1080p, High):
- CPU: Quad-core 64-bit
- GPU: GTX 1060 or better
- RAM: 16GB
- Storage: 14GB SSD
SSD recommended for world streaming. Heavy modding needs 16GB+ RAM.
Yes, if you want total freedom without hand-holding. Kenshi offers something no other RPG does: a world that doesn’t revolve around you. The 2018 release has aged well thanks to active modding and timeless sandbox design. Your failures create better stories than victories.
Expect dated graphics, clunky UI, and a steep learning curve. But if you’re tired of linear narratives and scaled enemies, Kenshi is unmatched.
