Cyberpunk 2077 parkour mods restore what CD Projekt cut before release. Wall-running, wall jumps, and a grappling hook appeared in the demo but not the finished game. The community fixed that, turning Night City into a vertical stunt playground. Here are ten mods that radically change V’s movement.
For more Cyberpunk 2077 content, my guides and mods page covers everything from mechanics to optimization.
Wall Runner
Standard jumps in Cyberpunk are too limited for a skyscraper city. Wall Runner brings back the ability to run on walls, which was shown at E3 2018.

- Temporary running along or up walls influenced by gravity
- Double jumps and dashes to maintain momentum
- Possibility to use weapons while running on the wall
- Works on smooth, flat surfaces
- Alternative version with redesigned camera
✅ How it changes gameplay: you are no longer stuck at ground level when you need to climb a tall building. Wall-running opens alternative routes for infiltration and combat. The mechanic is a little clumsy, but it adds the verticality vanilla so badly lacked. It takes some getting used to: gravity still works, so you cannot simply hang on a wall forever.
Player Movement Overhaul — Including Infinite Slides
Cyberpunk’s basic movement is dull and restrictive. This mod completely overhauls player movement.

- Chain fast movements to build momentum
- Infinite Sliding as an Option
- Faster climbing and jumping
- Improved dodging and dashing
- All files can be used separately or together.
- Compatible with version 2.21+
✅ How it changes gameplay: movement stops feeling rigid and predictable. Chain quick moves and slide through a whole location without stopping. Combat and travel become fluid rather than a slow trip from A to B. Particularly effective alongside cyberware such as Kerenzikov.
Improved Slide
Standard slides stop at every small bump. Improved Slide fixes that and adds control.

- Diagonal slides forward-left and forward-right
- More flexible slide trajectories
- Better camera control while sliding
- Stairs and small obstacles no longer interrupt the slide.
- Option for a longer slide through file editing
✅ How it changes gameplay: sliding becomes a full movement tool rather than basic evasion. Slide sideways to maneuver in combat and maintain speed over uneven terrain without stairs interrupting. A small mod that greatly improves movement flow.
Movement And Camera Tweaks
Cyberpunk has too few movement and camera options for fine-tuning. Movement and Camera Tweaks exposes hidden settings.

- Improved Camera Mobility During Parkour
- Smoother, less jerky movement
- Improved Third-Person Camera Control
- Easy transition from crouching to sliding
✅ How it changes gameplay: the camera stops jerking at every jump or landing. Complex parkour is difficult enough without abrupt viewing-angle changes. Crouching transitions instantly into sliding, important for stealth approaches. It polishes existing movement rather than adding new mechanics.
Alternative Midair Movement and Walljumping
The base game limits control once you are airborne. Alternative Midair Movement gives it back.

- Jumping off walls / bouncing off walls (inspired by Apex Legends)
- Control of direction of movement in the air
- Source-engine-style air movement
- Slowing down in the air for accurate landings
- Controller support
- Configure settings through Native Settings UI
✅ How it changes gameplay: air control is the difference between falling toward a fixed point and being able to adjust your direction. Wall-bouncing works like Apex: spot a wall, jump, and change direction. This opens up complex jump combinations and lets you reach previously inaccessible places. Slowing your fall saves you from damage when landing from a great height.
FreeRunner
FreeRunner is one of the newest, most complete parkour mods, combining several mechanics in one package.

- Running on walls
- Jumping off walls
- Air dashes
- Removes movement restrictions
- Mitigation of hard landings
✅ How it changes gameplay: FreeRunner takes a comprehensive approach to parkour: instead of separate mechanics, you get a system where everything works together. Wall-running leads into a wall jump that ends with an air dash. Removing movement restrictions lets you combine actions without unnecessary pauses. Softer landings are crucial; without them, all those tricks end in lost health. Active updates are a big plus too!
Smoother Dodge And Dash
Vanilla dodges and dashes slow V down on the spot. Smoother Dodge and Dash removes that effect.

- Less slowdown during dodges and dashes
- Smoother movement
- A little longer range.
- Optional version with ultra-speed
✅ How it changes gameplay: keep moving instead of dodging and rebuilding speed. The ultra-speed version makes V almost untouchable while moving, potentially breaking balance. Standard is more restrained, providing an advantage without feeling like a cheat.
Wall Hang
Jumping is great, but sometimes you need to grab an edge and hang. Wall Hang adds exactly that.

- The ability to cling to walls
- Crawling on walls and ceilings
- Jumping off walls
- Automatic attraction to walls at close range
- Options to disable jumps for compatibility with other mods
- Option to reduce damage from falling
✅ How it changes gameplay: pause during vertical movement by clinging to a wall, assessing the situation, and continuing. Ceiling crawling opens stealth routes. Automatic wall attraction is convenient but can interfere in fights, so being able to disable it helps. Compatible with other parkour mods when configured correctly.
Walljumping Lynx Paws
Vanilla Lynx Paws only quieten your footsteps. This mod turns them into proper parkour cyberware.

- Jumping off walls (only when Lynx Paws are outfitted)
- Increased speed of movement (configured)
- Faster crouched movement
- Reduces the distance at which footsteps can be heard
- Reduced fall damage
- Increased jump height
- Silent landing
✅ How it changes gameplay: Lynx Paws become essential for mobility-focused stealth builds. Wall jumps open vertical routes, and silent landings let you drop from heights without drawing attention. Faster walking and crouching speed up stealth. The cyberware finally justifies its cost and slot.
Grappling Hook
The base game lacks a grappling hook. This mod adds one with several modes.

- Grapple mode pulls you toward an anchor point
- Rope mode (swinging and hanging)
- Swing mode, like Spider-Man
- Earning experience when using the hook
- Hook enhancement system
- Compatible with other flight mods
✅ How it changes gameplay: Grappling Hook adds a movement mechanic absent from vanilla. Grapple mode pulls you quickly to a point like Titanfall 2, while rope mode lets you swing between buildings like Spider-Man. XP and upgrades make it stronger over time. Clumsy at first, but with practice it becomes your main way around vertical locations.
Mod installation recommendations
Most parkour mods require Cyber Engine Tweaks and redscript. Install them first.
Check compatibility before installing. Some mods edit the same movement files and can conflict. Read their pages: authors generally list incompatible combinations. My Cyberpunk 2077 mod installation guide also covers the process.
Do not install everything at once. Add mods one by one, test the gameplay, then add the next one. It’s easier to find a problem mod if something breaks.
Parkour in Night City: which mods to choose first
Start with Player Movement Overhaul and Improved Slide to improve basic mechanics without drastic changes. Add Wall Runner or FreeRunner for vertical movement. Leave Grappling Hook until you are comfortable with the others.
Want to change other parts of the game? My mod collection covering every aspect includes everything from the interface to combat.
If I missed any parkour mods you think deserve a place here, contact me. I will test them and may add them to an updated version of the selection.
