Robotic Limb Shops in Kenshi: Map Locations and What You Can Buy

Losing a limb in Kenshi is actually a great opportunity to make your character even stronger. It's the moment you trade fragile flesh for hardened steel and unlock potential you never knew you had. But finding the right parts in this rusty world is a quest in itself. You didn't think you could just walk into any town and find a Masterwork replacement arm, did you?

This guide is your map to the main robotic limb shops in Kenshi. We'll cover where to go, what to expect from the traders, and which cybernetics are actually worth your Cats. We'll visit high-end shops in deadly areas, then look at budget stores that can get you back on your feet early on.

Endgame Shops: Where to Buy the Best Robotic Limbs

Once you've earned some money and your pockets are full of Cats, you're ready to leave rusty junk behind and invest in serious hardware. You need the Kenshi robotics shops that stock Masterwork and Specialist parts capable of turning an ordinary fighter into a walking god.

The Scraphouse in the Deadlands

Let's settle this right away. The Scraphouse in Black Desert City is, without a doubt, the best place to buy robotic limbs in the entire game. This is an endgame destination. It has absolutely everything: every limb type in Specialist or Masterwork quality. The catch? Well, it's in Black Desert City. That means constant, skin-melting acid rain and Skeletons who aren't exactly friendly.

You absolutely need acid protection for your entire squad before you even think about going there. But the reward is worth it. This is where you'll find the legendary KLR Series limbs.

💡 Tip: most shops restock every 48 in-game hours (2 in-game days).

💡 Tip #2: hire a cheap Hive Worker from a nearby bar and train their Athletics to 30 or 40. Give them a couple of meals and… there you go, the most cost-effective courier in the world.

Mongrel: High Risk, High Reward

Mongrel is another top destination for specialist robotic limbs in Kenshi. Its shop is excellent and regularly stocks high-grade parts. The main problem is the location: the town is hidden right in the middle of the Fog Islands.

Getting there means a fun journey through endless hordes of Fogmen. Make one mistake and your squad will be eaten alive. But if you get through the fog, the trader has an excellent selection, without the acid-related misery of the Deadlands.

Shops with Good-Quality Robotic Limbs

Replacing a leg shouldn't always require a suicide mission. For most of the game, you'll buy from traders who balance quality with accessibility. These are the places to equip your main squad without risking everything you own.

World's End

I really like World's End. It's relatively safe, easy to reach, and the local robotics trader maintains a decent standard, selling Specialist-grade parts.

The selection isn't as huge as the Scraphouse's, but you can always find decent Skeleton Arms and Skeleton Legs. It's a great stop on the way to the Northern Coast and a reliable place to upgrade your fighters' equipment.

Heng and Heft

These towns are in United Cities territory, and both are good shopping destinations. I like Heng a little more because its robotics shop seems to restock more often than others. They carry plenty of different limb types, although finding Masterwork quality can be tricky: that comes down to luck.

Traveling through the desert is relatively straightforward, making these traders the most convenient options for a mid-level squad.

Black Scratch

Black Scratch is famous for its library, but it also has a surprisingly good shop that occasionally stocks Masterwork items. The town is a little out of the way, in the Outlands, and there are plenty of dangers nearby (Beak Things cheerfully waving their necks at you). Still, it's worth a visit if you're already in the area.

Early-Game Shops with Budget Options

When you're just starting out and some Dust Bandit chops off your arm, you can't afford to be picky. You simply need something to stop the bleeding and let you pick up your sword again. These are the places to find robotic limbs early in Kenshi.

The Border Zone Waystation

This will probably be the first specialist shop a beginner finds. It's southeast of a place called the Camp and sells the most basic parts in low and mid-tier quality. For your character's first-ever replacement, it's just the thing.

Flats Lagoon

A great town in a terrible location. The Swamp is a nightmare, but the town itself is neutral and has a decent trader selling mid-quality robotic limbs.

Hive Villages

Don't expect much, but in an emergency a Hive Village shop can save your life. They only sell Economy limbs, the absolute bottom of the range. Think of them as emergency supplies rather than a long-term solution.

Comparing Robotic Limbs in Kenshi: How to Choose the Best for Your Character

All right, you've found a shop. Now what? Robotic limbs in Kenshi aren't just chunks of metal. Your choice depends on what your character does. A stealthy thief needs one thing; a frontline tank wielding a Falling Sun needs something else entirely.

Here's a quick table of the top robotic limbs and their bonuses:

Limb typeHP (Masterwork)Main bonusBest suited to
KLR Series Arm245+10% Strength and DexterityAll-round fighters
Industrial Lifter Arm200+23.75% StrengthHeavy weapons / Martial Arts

How to Choose the Best Robotic Arms

For pure combat, nothing beats KLR Series Arms. They have the highest health and a balanced bonus to Strength and Dexterity. They're the best robotic limbs for your main warriors, full stop. Their only downside is a brutal Swimming penalty.

If your character swings a heavy sword or fights with their fists, the Industrial Lifter Arm is a monster. Its raw Strength bonus is enormous, but very specialized. For crossbow users, a Steady Arm is essential: it completely eliminates that annoying shaking while aiming. And the Thief's Arm speaks for itself. It turns a merely good thief into a great master of the shadows.

Choosing the Best Robotic Legs

Once again, KLR Series Legs come out on top for durability and combat performance. They turn characters into nearly indestructible tanks.

But my personal favorite? Scout Legs. Their speed boost changes the whole game. Traveling across Kenshi's huge world becomes much faster, and you can use hit-and-run tactics that simply wouldn't work otherwise. They also have the lowest Swimming penalty, making them incredibly versatile. For any character who isn't holding the front line to the death, Scout Legs are the best choice.

Building a Squad of Cyborgs

Losing limbs is a fundamental part of Kenshi. It's a brutal, punishing mechanic that forces you to adapt. But once you understand the system, an injury becomes an opportunity to upgrade. Knowing where Kenshi's robotics shops are and what they sell turns a humiliating moment into a strategic step toward power.

There's no hand-holding here. The world doesn't scale to your level. You either grow stronger or get eaten. So get out there, lose a leg or a couple more arms, and turn your squad into cyborgs.
