8 Best Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Collections 💾 In 2026

Best ready-made mod collections for Cyberpunk 2077: a complete gameplay overhaul

Choosing and installing mods for Cyberpunk 2077 by hand is a pastime for people with spare weekends and nerves of steel. A ready-made mod collection takes care of it in one go: open Wabbajack or Vortex, hit install, and get a working mod list without spending hours untangling mod conflicts. I picked collections for different playthroughs, from a restrained visual upgrade to a complete rethink of combat and survival, and looked into what each one contains and who it suits.

Project Ultrapunk

Project Ultrapunk carries on the work of UltraMatt’s 2099 and 3077 collections, with his personal approval. The focus is on visuals, stability, and small quality-of-life improvements; the collection leaves combat and character development completely untouched.

  • Performance: at least 10 GB of VRAM
  • Quality: at least 12 GB
  • Ultra Quality: at least 16 GB
  • Psycho Quality: at least 20 GB

Installation requires a clean Windows 11 setup; Linux and macOS are not supported. HDR support is not officially guaranteed either: the team does not use HDR monitors and cannot check for related bugs.

✅ How it changes the game: combat and progression stay as they are in the vanilla game, but Night City finally looks the way the trailers promised.

3077

3077 takes a vanilla-plus approach, focusing on path tracing for rich visuals and consistency with the lore. No anime skins or revealing outfits: the author deliberately keeps the collection within the setting. In its first year, the list went through almost 70 revisions and was installed more than 10 thousand times.

  • Immersive cyberware: some HUD elements appear only if you have the corresponding implant installed
  • You have to start a car with F1 first, rather than simply jump in and drive away
  • The Skillful perk deliberately gives you unlimited attribute points for role-playing

The collection calls for at least an RTX 3080 with 10 GB of VRAM and an NVMe drive. Without path-tracing support, you are better off staying away.

✅ How it changes the game: 3077 does not chase balance for its own sake. It tries to make the city more believable, right down to details such as starting your engine manually.

PunkCity

PunkCity revolves around one idea: the city owes you nothing. You now need to eat, drink, and sleep, and reputation matters. The author built the collection specifically around survival, rather than an easy climb to legendary status in a single evening.

  • Dark Future: hunger, thirst, and sleep become real needs with accumulating penalties
  • Take a Breather: ripperdocs and apartments are locked until you earn enough Street Cred
  • Pariah: killing civilians destroys the city’s trust in you and brings the police down on you
  • Combat Evolved: 15 factions with different combat behaviors, plus gunplay with real ballistics
  • Much Better Netrunning: makes netrunning deeper and harder, so a couple of quickhacks can no longer wipe out an entire room
  • Ripperdoc Specializations: each ripperdoc sells only their own category of cyberware
  • Shattered Chrome: implants take damage across 10 body zones and eventually need repairs

Female V gets several times as many customization options as male V. The collection requires an SSD, game version 2.31 or newer, and Phantom Liberty. Keep around 70 GB of additional free space on the drive for temporary installation files.

✅ How it changes the game: without automatic healing and a generous supply of medkits, you really do count your rounds, and any fight against a crowd could be V’s last.

PROJECT UNLEASHED — PROJECT 2077 MODLIST

PROJECT 2077 is a solid middle-ground option: a little of everything, including graphics, gameplay, cars, clothing, and romance, without extreme hardware requirements. Its aim is simple: spare you the headache of manual mod installation and deliver a playable result straight away.

Project 2077 modlist artwork with a synthwave-style sunset.
  • A core setup of Cyber Engine Tweaks, RED4ext, redscript, ArchiveXL, TweakXL, and Codeware for fine-tuning things to your needs
  • CyanideX’s Preem visual package, alongside RenoDX and the Nova City 2 weather mod
  • Tougher enemies, faction reputation, and a survival mode
  • The EBBPRB body for female V, plus additional hairstyles from Meluminary’s collection
  • 4K textures for named NPCs
  • More detailed romantic relationships, with text messages and dates

Minimum requirements are a Ryzen 5 1600 or Core i7-6700, a graphics card on the level of a GTX 1060 6 GB or RX 580 8 GB, and 12 GB of RAM. The recommended setup is a Ryzen 7 7800X3D or Core i7-12700 and at least an RTX 2060 Super. You need a clean game installation with REDmod and Phantom Liberty installed.

✅ How it changes the game: the city feels more alive and enemies stop being cardboard cutouts, while the hardware requirements are much lower than those of visual heavyweights such as 3077.

Ultraviolence

Ultraviolence is a demanding role-playing modlist built entirely around female V. The authors are explicit: a male character is incompatible with its quests, romances, and outfits, and will receive no official support at all.

  • Around 85 GB for the game and expansion
  • Around 120 GB for the modlist itself
  • Around 130 GB for downloaded mod archives; these can be kept on a separate drive, even a slow one
  • Around 25 GB for temporary extraction files

Before installation, you must set your paging file to at least 20 GB and add the Wabbajack, installation, and base-game folders to your antivirus exclusions. Otherwise, Windows Defender may delete files needed by Mod Organizer 2 while you are playing.

✅ How it changes the game: because the entire modlist is built around a single character model, its role-playing content, including quests, romances, and outfits, works without game-breaking conflicts, provided you do not start changing the mod list yourself.

Welcome to Night City / Cyberpunk THING

This is essentially two collections in one: the familiar Welcome to Night City without drastic balance changes, and the harsher Cyberpunk THING profile with an overhauled combat system. You can switch between profiles at any point in a playthrough without risking save corruption.

Welcome to Night City on its Nexus Mods page with details.
  • New cyberware such as the Juice Tank system or Megingjord cyberlegs with lightning weapons
  • Reworked melee combat, bullet ricochets, and enemy grapples
  • A livelier city, with a bar, roulette, blackjack, and more detailed ripperdoc scenes
  • A dedicated perk tree for stealth missions
  • Overhauled netrunning with new rewards for breaching networks

System requirements stay within those of the base game; the collection sets no additional conditions.

✅ How it changes the game: you can start with the gentler version, settle into the city, and then switch profiles to jump into Cyberpunk THING, where the game suddenly bites considerably harder.

Cyberpunk 2077 Plus 2.0 collection

Simbian312 put this collection together for players who have had their fill of vanilla and do not want to spend time building a mod setup from scratch. The archive is 8.7 GB and the list contains 232 mods. It was tested on game version 2.21, so check it against the current patch before installing.

Cyberpunk 2077 Plus 2.0 with a blue sports car and clothing details.
  • Complete freedom to disable unwanted mods without risking a broken setup
  • New Game+ with retained skills and inventory, plus the option to skip the prologue
  • Expanded appearance customization and improved NPC faces
  • Increased draw distance and reworked gunplay
  • Hundreds of weather variations with real-time adjustment
  • An improved Photo Mode with NPC spawning, and taxi driving as a separate side activity

In the author’s own measurements on an i5-12400F and RTX 4070, using Ultra settings, path tracing, DLSS Balanced, and frame generation, the average frame rate stays at around 70 FPS.

✅ How it changes the game: you get a full set of conveniences and visuals reminiscent of YouTube showcases, without sky-high hardware requirements.

Chrome & Blood

Chrome & Blood is an overhaul designed specifically for Very Hard, with two profiles: Immersive survival and the more conventional Hardcore, without resource restrictions. Virtually every system has been rewritten, including combat, AI, the economy, hacking, and cyberware.

The Chrome and Blood modification for Cyberpunk 2077 on its main page.
  • Smarter AI: enemies flank, retreat, and call for reinforcements instead of standing still
  • Each faction has its own strength and one unique damage immunity
  • 18 new perks designed specifically for this collection
  • Completely rewritten netrunning in place of standard hacking
  • A new lighting and weather foundation using ReLux and Nova City 2
  • A garage of more than 40 cars from the Virtual Car Dealer mod
  • A reworked economy

The collection requires REDmod and Phantom Liberty to be installed, and the game itself must be updated to the current Steam version.

✅ How it changes the game: firefights end in seconds rather than minutes, and without investing in a specific build, you will not survive even one serious encounter.

Mod installation recommendations

Most of these collections install through Wabbajack, and almost all installation problems come down to the same things: a cluttered game folder and trying to launch the game without going through the mod manager.

  • Check your game version in Steam, GOG, or Epic Games and update it to the current patch.
  • Remove leftover files from old mods and disable all profiles in other mod managers.
  • Download Wabbajack and extract the collection to a separate folder outside system directories such as Program Files.
  • Always launch the game through Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex rather than directly through Steam, or some settings will not be applied.
  • Before your first launch, read the collection’s known-bugs list so you do not seek support for a problem that already has a solution.

If you have never installed mods before, I have a separate Cyberpunk 2077 mod installation guide that walks through the process step by step with pictures.

Which collection should you choose with a less powerful graphics card?

If you do not have an RTX 3080 or better, forget about 3077 and Chrome & Blood. PROJECT 2077 and Cyberpunk 2077 Plus (Simbian312) can run on much more modest systems while still noticeably improving visuals and quality of life. Project Ultrapunk is another option if you have at least 10 GB of VRAM: it includes a separate lightweight profile.

If I missed a worthwhile Cyberpunk 2077 mod collection, write to me. I will test it personally and, if it deserves a place here, add it to the list.
