10 Fallout New Vegas Weapon Mods 🎮 2026

Weapon mods for Fallout: New Vegas

Fallout: New Vegas without weapon mods is like a desert without sand. The base arsenal is decent, but after 200 hours you want something fresh.

This selection covers mods that add new weapons and retexture old ones in Fallout: New Vegas without breaking the balance. They even work with Tale of Two Wastelands and bring hundreds of new guns to a favorite game.

Weapons of the New Millenia

45 professionally made models from a modding legend, plus a custom shop with a quest and voiced vendor. This pack was a modlist staple before Another Millenia arrived. Old weapon packs tend to suffer from one of two problems: textures pulled from other games, or leveled lists so unbalanced that the first raider carries an AK-47. Weapons of the New Millenia avoids both traps.

Weapons of the New Millenia adds 45 guns with modular installation.

Each gun is integrated through separate ESP files that you choose yourself. Want leveled lists? Pick one module. Prefer cheat cabinets? Choose another. Only want the Gun Runners shop and quest? That is a third option.

  • 45 weapons with full attachment support.
  • Modular installation: leveled lists, shop, or cheat cabinets.
  • Compatibility with Weapon Animation Replacers is required.
  • Custom icons by The 3rd Type.
  • Balancing by Anime Schoolgirl, based on over 1,000 hours of gameplay.

✅ How gameplay changes: You stop carrying the service rifle until level 30. AK-47, Beretta 92FS, HK G36K: each gun fills a niche vanilla left empty. Attachments work like those on base-game weapons, so there is no new system to learn. Just make sure you install Weapon Mod Menu, or the game will crash when you add new attachments.

Another Millenia

A modern reimport of Millenia's legacy, featuring new guns such as the MP5 and Glock 19, plus previously unused assets such as an RPG. Includes automatic TTW integration and a configuration file for fine-tuning spawns. Qolore7 took the best of Millenia's archives and rebuilt it to modern standards: over 50 weapons, more than 100 unique variants, built-in CaliberZL support without patches, and vanilla sounds instead of COD ports. You configure each gun's spawn settings in an ini file.

Another Millenia adds over 50 weapons with configurable spawns.
  • Over 50 guns, including original designs such as the .44 Auto Revolver.
  • A configuration file controlling each weapon's spawns.
  • Built-in TTW support without dependencies.
  • Out-of-the-box compatibility with B42 Dropmag and JSRS.
  • A weapon naming system, from vanilla-style names to realistic ones.

✅ How gameplay changes: Unlike the old all-or-nothing pack, here you decide. MP5s only for the Legion? Easy. Glock 19s for every faction? Of course. Anti-Armor Rifle as a rare drop? Open the ini and change a setting. Unique weapons can also be toggled individually: you can finally remove guns you dislike without deleting the entire mod.

Heffy’s AK and AR15 Full Pack Redux

A Redux of Heffy's legendary AK/AR pack, with full KNVSE animations, scripted leveled-list integration, and new guns such as the M16 Dissipator and M4A1 SOPMOD. Heffy made some of New Vegas's best AKs and AR15s, but the original pack became technically outdated. Redux rebuilt that foundation from scratch: new animations by DawnDreams and DRIIRE, scripted weapon-list integration for seamless compatibility, and automatic detection of CaliberZL and B42 Optics. Includes over 40 rifle variants, from the RPK-74 to the XM177E2, plus unique guns scattered across the map.

Heffy's AK and AR15 Full Pack Redux expands the rifle arsenal.
  • Over 40 AK- and AR-family rifles.
  • Full KNVSE animations, including new ones by DawnDreams.
  • Leveled-list and perk-list integration.
  • A robot vendor near the Prospector Saloon.
  • Configuration options to disable individual weapon spawns.

✅ How gameplay changes: The AK-47 becomes more than a service rifle replacement: it is a whole family with distinct roles. AKS-74U for close combat, RPK-74N as an LMG, Dragunov SVD for sniping. The AR family follows the same pattern: M4 Shorty for assaults, M16A2 HBAR for support, SR25 for marksmen. Redux expands categories represented by just one or two vanilla options instead of replacing the base weapons.

Camon Pack Complete

All of Camon's work in one archive: the 12.7mm Annihilator SMG, Paratrooper Rifle, Tactical Pack, and weapons such as the Light Automatic Rifle and Bren Gun. Camon disappeared from Nexus after a ban, but the work survived: scottmack reuploaded everything together. This is more than a random compilation; each gun fills a particular niche. The 12.7mm Annihilator is a Thompson on steroids, the Light Automatic Rifle is a BAR that upgrades into the Machine Rifle, and the Tactical Pack combines the MP5 family with black tactical armor.

Camon Pack Complete adds 15 unique weapons to Fallout: New Vegas.
  • Over 15 Camon weapons in one archive.
  • All mods included, with a prepared ESP and separate files.
  • Unique placements throughout the map.
  • Dead Money required for some weapons.

✅ How gameplay changes: Every Camon gun has its own story. The 12.7mm Annihilator lies in Nellis Train Tunnel with a note explaining its presence. The Light Automatic Rifle is in the Great Khan Armory. The Paratrooper Rifle (FG42) in the Yangtze Memorial shack is broken and requires Repair 70 to fix.

Scottmacks Forgotten Weapons

8 weapons built from scratch by scottmack: PPS-43, Sterling SMG, MAS 49/56, Owen Gun, Volkssturmgewehr, Madsen SMG, Sten SMG, and Lee Enfield No 2 Mk 1 Revolver. Scottmack made this pack to practice texturing, but it became one of New Vegas's best weapon sets. Each gun has custom icons by Saxxon91, its own sounds, and multiple attachments. The PPS-43 gets Maintened Parts, the Sterling gets a suppressor and Patchett magazines, and the MAS 49/56 gets a heat shield and scope.

Scottmacks Forgotten Weapons adds rare historical weapons to the Mojave.
  • 8 guns made from scratch: models, UVs, and textures.
  • Custom Pip-Boy icons and sounds for each weapon.
  • Sold by Alexander at the 188 Trading Post.
  • A cheat crate in Victor's shack in Goodsprings.

✅ How gameplay changes: These are not mainstream guns such as AKs or M4s; they are weapons for enthusiasts. The Owen Gun is an Australian SMG with a side-mounted magazine, the Volkssturmgewehr a late-war German assault rifle, and the MAS 49/56 a French semi-automatic rifle. Each fills a specific niche and looks as though it could have appeared in the original game.

Weapon Mods Expanded (WMX)

WMX gives every weapon in the game up to three attachments, including unique guns and melee weapons, plus workbench attachment crafting. Obsidian drew inspiration from Antistar's Fallout 3 mod Weapon Mod Kits, and now he returns to expand their system. All guns get three modification slots, unique weapons accept the same attachments as their standard counterparts, and melee weapons can finally be upgraded. The hunting revolver comes without a scope by default, the riot shotgun uses a box magazine instead of a drum, and so on.

Weapon Mods Expanded (WMX) expands attachments for all weapons.
  • ALL weapons receive three applicable attachments.
  • Unique guns can be modified.
  • New standard variants of That Gun and This Machine.
  • Visual bug fixes for vanilla meshes.

✅ How gameplay changes: You always have a choice now. Want a scoped hunting revolver? Attach a scope. Prefer not to? Use iron sights. The riot shotgun starts weaker than vanilla, with 10 rounds rather than 12, but a drum attachment brings that to 20. Unique guns are no longer off-limits to modification: you choose your configuration.

Supplementary Weapons Pack

10 new guns filling empty niches: a suppressed bolt-action rifle, a two-handed SMG, a stocked lever-action shotgun, and an M40A1 sniper rifle. The author got tired of searching for weapons for particular situations and added their own.

Supplementary Weapons Pack adds 10 guns for different situations.
  • 10 weapons with animations.
  • Weapons integrated as rare variants of vanilla guns.
  • Added through scripts.
  • All attachments craftable at a workbench.

✅ How gameplay changes: Supplementary provides alternatives rather than replacing vanilla guns. The Service Pistol (a suppressed .45) looks cleaner than the basic .45 pistol and does not obstruct the sights. The Designated Marksman Rifle (Mk14 EBR) sits between the marksman carbine and sniper rifle. The Double Barrel Shotgun switches between firing one barrel or both with the V key.

Unique Guns

20 unique guns scattered across the Mojave, with improved stats and fixed locations instead of random drops. The concept is simple: take base weapons and create unique versions placed in specific locations. The Pistoler (a fully modified 10mm pistol) is in the Bison Steve Hotel, the Fury Minigun at the deathclaw promontory, and Yankee (an automatic battle rifle) in Nipton General Store.

Unique Guns places 20 powerful unique weapons around the Mojave.
  • 20 unique guns with improved stats.
  • Fixed placements throughout the map.
  • A cheat room beneath Doc Mitchell's house; tcl required.
  • Unique textures for each gun.
  • Attachments can be fitted where available.

✅ How gameplay changes: Want an upgraded 10mm SMG, Sprayer's Gun? Head to the Jacobstown lodge. Need a powerful anti-materiel rifle, Anomaly Lover's Gun? Climb into the deathclaw mother's nest at Quarry Junction. This encourages you to explore dangerous locations earlier than you otherwise would.

Hopper Weapon Pack

Over 100 weapons integrated through scripts, with custom animations and built-in support for TTW, Helmet Overlay, B42 Optics, and HPControl. Hopper began by experimenting with random ideas and spent years assembling a pack from vanilla assets with modified textures. The result is one of the largest weapon mods, with scripted leveled-list integration, full TTW support, and automatic detection of a dozen popular mods.

Hopper Weapon Pack adds over 100 lore-friendly guns with new animations.
  • Over 100 weapons made from vanilla assets.
  • Custom animations by Hitman47101 and Rockbiter68.
  • All lists integrated through scripts.
  • Support for TTW, B42 Optics, HPControl, Ammosmith, and CFW.
  • Toggle throwing/non-throwing weapons with the ammo-switch key.

✅ How gameplay changes: Hopper fills every gap in the vanilla arsenal with remixes of existing assets rather than ports from other games. Each gun is balanced around the vanilla sandbox, with rare exceptions for especially powerful weapons. Unique guns are hand-placed around the map; the mod's spoiler section tells you exactly where to find each one.

Cowboy Weapons Pack

Cowboy-themed weapons with full animations, upgrades, leveled-list integration, and TTW support. ThezomX assembled this western arsenal with an upgrade system and weapon-condition inspection support. The latest update adds 6 guns (5 standard and 1 unique) and reworks three weapon models.

Cowboy Weapons Pack expands the western arsenal with new animations.
  • Full animations and weapon-condition inspection.
  • Leveled-list integration with TTW support.
  • Configuration options to enable or disable each gun's spawns.
  • Reworked models and animations in version 10.0.
  • Base models by TactaGhoul, Millenia, and Sweet6Shooter.

✅ How gameplay changes: Cowboy Weapons expands New Vegas's themes without breaking the lore. Every gun looks as though it belongs in a post-apocalyptic Wild West. The configuration lets you disable particular NPC weapon spawns while leaving the weapons available from vendors. Changes apply after restarting the game.

Mod installation recommendations

Weapon packs constantly conflict: one overwrites another's leveled lists, a third changes vanilla weapon stats. Here is how to avoid problems:

  1. Install the foundations first: xNVSE, JIP LN NVSE, JohnnyGuitar NVSE, and kNVSE. Without them, half these mods will not even load.
  2. Use a merged patch: After installing all mods, launch FNVEdit, load every plugin, right-click → Create Merged Patch. This automatically resolves most conflicts.
  3. Check the load order: WMX should load almost last, with Another Millenia after it. Heffy's Redux and Hopper use scripts, so order matters less for them.
  4. Read each mod's readme: Weapons of the New Millenia crashes without Weapon Mod Menu; Camon Pack needs Dead Money for some weapons; Supplementary requires xNVSE + JIP + JohnnyGuitar + kNVSE + Honest Hearts.
  5. Install Weapon Animation Replacers first: Many packs overwrite WAR animations. Install those packs after the main mod if you want to retain their custom animations.
  6. CaliberZL compatibility: Another Millenia, Heffy's Redux, and Hopper detect CaliberZL automatically. For Weapons of the New Millenia, download the patch from the CaliberX page.

Which weapon pack should you install for Fallout: New Vegas?

If this is your first modded New Vegas playthrough, do not install everything at once: it will become a mess. Here are my recommendations:

  • WMX + Supplementary Weapons Pack: WMX expands vanilla weapons while Supplementary fills the gaps. Does not overload loot tables or break the balance, and works out of the box.
  • For a second playthrough: Add Another Millenia or Hopper Weapon Pack. Both use scripted integration, so conflicts are minimal.
  • For an old-school experience: Scottmacks Forgotten Weapons + Camon Pack Complete. Curated sets with stories behind them, hand-placed weapons, and minimal leveled-list spam.

New guns are only the beginning. My Fallout: New Vegas mod collection also covers graphics, armor, companions, animations, and major overhauls.

If you know a weapon mod worthy of this list, write to me. I will test it, assess its balance, and check compatibility. Perhaps I will add it here, or write a separate article.
