The tattoos available at the ripperdoc look as though they were made by someone who has never seen body art. I spent far too many hours testing these mods: my V changed tattoos more often than a tattoo artist updates their portfolio. Honestly, some of these designs are better than what you find in most AAA games. If you have already checked the main Cyberpunk 2077 page for other customization options, tattoos are the next logical step.
Update 2.2 Body Tattoos — KS UV — VTK
Know that panic after a major patch, wondering whether favorite mods still work? This collection was built from scratch for version 2.2. Numerous designs cover different body parts, with 4K textures to avoid blurry cutscenes. Its biggest advantage is dual-framework support: use KS-UV or VTK according to your body system. I checked both versions without conflicts.

- Works with both male and female V models
- Many variations of styles allow you to change the aesthetics to suit the mood
- Textures in 4K keep the detail clear when you look at V in the mirror
- Support for Patch 2.2 and newer versions
- Compatible with different body frameworks without unnecessary patches
✅ Influence on gameplay: It does not affect the action or mechanics, but completely changes the perception of V in mirrors, intimate scenes and photo mode. If visual integrity is important to you and you don’t want to see tattoos painted like a marker, this collection is technically well done.
Cyberpunk Edgerunner Rebecca’s Tattoo Overlay
Rebecca’s anime tattoos are memorable; that stomach artwork referencing Philip Dick is a masterpiece. This recreates her whole set with remarkable accuracy. It is the kind of mod you install and immediately launch the game to admire. With Vanilla, VTK, and UV support, you are not tied to one body type. It includes all her tattoos, including signature leg designs.

- Several versions are available for different body frameworks
- Includes a full set of Rebecca tattoos from the anime series
- Working with Patch 2.2 without errors
- Only for the female version of V (which makes sense, because it’s Rebecca’s design)
- Working with Skin Mixer to create additional layers of customization
✅ Gameplay impact: no mechanical changes, but a major difference to how the character feels in the world. For Edgerunners fans wanting that atmosphere, the tattoos match the show’s placement exactly. A replica rather than merely an inspired design.
VTK Malvina Arm Tattoo
MALV1NA’s intricate, feminine sleeves use professional-quality 4K textures. Attention to detail matters: clean lines, shaded depth, and artwork following arm contours instead of flat stamps. Download the full package or separate left and right arms to combine with other body tattoos or create asymmetry.

- VTK arm tattoos consisting of sleeve designs only
- All textures in 4K for maximum clarity
- One complete package or separate arm files
- Ability to combine with tattoos on other parts of the body
- Regular updates through the author’s Telegram channel
- Only for the female version of V
✅ Gameplay impact: cosmetic, as most tattoo mods are, but makes you want to see V’s arms more often. Excellent with revealing outfits, especially in first person while aiming weapons or interacting with objects.
Japanese Tattoo Sleeves Shop — Vanilla Body
Traditional Japanese sleeves feature koi, dragons, cherry blossoms, and samurai artwork across both arms. A direct body-texture replacement for vanilla and Solo Toned Arms, without extra frameworks.

- Several variations of traditional Japanese sleeves
- Works with vanilla bodies and Solo Toned Arms without additional requirements
- Files for female and male V
- Compatible with most cyberarm mods, except possible Monowire overlaps
- A framework is not required, it is a direct replacement of body textures
- Versions available for both genders
✅ Gameplay impact: purely cosmetic, but essential for particular looks, such as a Corpo hiding traditional tattoos or a Streetkid with full sleeves. Set the tattoo slider to 0 in character creation to avoid overlap with vanilla artwork.
VTK Tattoos Series
This modular collection customizes the left arm, right arm, torso, and neck independently. Honestly, all tattoo mods should work that way, but few do. The author regularly adds new series, and filename priorities manage load order, avoiding manual conflict resolution when adding designs.

- Combine tattoos on different parts of the body
- Separate files for left arm, right arm, body, and neck
- Lots of available series and design collections
- Load order automatically managed through filenames
- Regular updates with new series
- Only for the female version of V
✅ Gameplay impact: no mechanical change, but freedom is the main advantage. Create a combination nobody else has, the point of appearance modding. Particularly useful for changing V between playthroughs or story arcs.
HR Giger Body Tattoo — MALE FEMALE KS UV
A tribute to H. R. Giger’s biomechanical art, transferred onto V with iconic surreal designs and optional 3D bump mapping. It is a love-it-or-hate-it look. Fans of Alien, biomechanical horror, and surrealism can bring that atmosphere into Cyberpunk. The bump-mapped version creates skin relief and lighting-responsive shadows rather than a flat image on the model.

- Standard flat and raised 3D versions
- Full body covering with Giger-style biomechanics
- Compatible with male and female V
- High artistic quality with detailed patterns and shadows
- Bump version creates realistic skin relief that responds to light
- Requires a KS-UV Framework with UV 3.2.1 Classic or UV4.0
✅ Gameplay impact: no mechanical change, but a huge effect if you want an alien or post-human V. Raised details excel in cutscenes and Photo Mode as lighting angles change. Not for everyone, but hard to beat for the right concept.
Cyber Face TYPE-11 (tattoo)(KSUV)(VTK)
Cybernetic face tattoo overlays inspired by in-game implants create futuristic patterns resembling ripperdoc work. They fill a gap: V’s vanilla face cyberware is limited and most mods ignore the face in favor of bodies. Think of Night City’s NPC techno-ink, but executed to a higher standard.

- Tattoo designs in the style of facial implants
- Support for male and female characters
- Available for KS-UV and VTK frameworks
- Several color options, including purple
- Compatible with skin mods, but not with other facial tattoos
- Requires a KS-UV Texture Framework or a VTK body with UV4.0
✅ Gameplay impact: purely visual, but exactly the kind of detail that grounds V in cyberpunk. The aesthetic follows the game’s art style, making V feel like a Night City resident rather than a walking advertisement for your mod list.
Scales 3D Tattoo Overlays (VTK)(KS-UV)
These scale-like 3D tattoos use normal maps for real depth and lighting interaction. I have seen many tattoo mods, but few exploit the engine for actual depth instead of painted shadows. The patterns look part of the skin’s structure rather than drawings on top, making a major visual difference.

- 3D effect thanks to normal maps and roughness masks
- Compatible with other skin texture mods
- Cannot be combined with other tattoo overlays (technical limitation)
- Available for male and female characters
- Supports VTK for female V, KS-UV for both genders, and GYMFIEND for male V.
- Creates a realistic reptilian texture
✅ Gameplay impact: no mechanical changes, but striking visuals alter the character’s impression. Scales catch light differently from ordinary skin, creating a subtle shimmer that feels cybernetic rather than organic. Ideal for heavily modified or non-human-looking characters.
Body Tattoo Collection Part 2
Eight body tattoo designs for female V range from tribal patterns to modern geometry. A Swiss Army knife of choices instead of one narrow style: the author recognizes different tastes. Drag-and-drop installation is simple, with community testing across patches.

- Eight different body tattoos (use only one at a time)
- Available for VTK and UV frameworks
- Simple Installation by Dragging Files
- Checked by the community on current versions of the game
- Only for the female version of V
- Regular updates with new parts
✅ Gameplay impact: purely cosmetic, but the variety suits different builds and roles without numerous separate mods. Switch between playthroughs or whenever you tire of the current look.
VTK — Story Tattoo (F and M)
Hand-drawn story tattoos interpret V’s journey through Cyberpunk 2077 using iconic campaign elements. They record your story on the skin rather than simply looking cool, with recognizable references but no spoilers or excessive literalness. Detailed black-ink lines resemble a commission from a talented tattoo artist rather than a game texture.

- Fully hand-drawn artwork with story elements
- A complete set or individual body parts are available
- You can combine different zones (arms, torso)
- Available for male and female versions of V
- Black-ink style with detailed lines and shading
- Requires a VTK body, is compatible with a variety of options
✅ Gameplay impact: no mechanical change, but ideal for an emotional connection to V’s story. Subtle enough not to announce your plot tattoos loudly, yet detailed enough to recognize references in mirrors and cutscenes.
Mod installation recommendations
Most tattoo mods require KS-UV Texture Framework or a VTK body. These make overlays work without damaging NPC textures and permit mixing body parts from different mods. Install the right framework before modding Cyberpunk, then apply the tattoos.
- Load order is critical. Tattoo mods must load before body texture mods in the mod folder, or the body textures will cover the tattoos and leave you wondering why they are invisible. Use Archive Conflict Checker Tool from Nexus to check load order; it will save hours of troubleshooting.
- Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2, released on December 10, 2024, added native tattoo changes at ripperdocs, including 2 new body tattoos and 4 face tattoos. All mods on this list have been checked for compatibility, but remember that future patches may temporarily break things until the authors update their files.
- Cyberpunk 2077 has no Steam Workshop support. Download from Nexus Mods or similar sites and install manually. Beginners usually only need to drag files into the game folder after installing the framework.
Your V, your tattoos.
Cyberpunk 2077 tattoos are more than decoration: they help create a distinctive character rather than a standard template. These mods survived patch 2.3, offer quality workmanship, and cover styles to match your vision of V.

If I missed a great tattoo mod, let me know and I will test it. I am always looking for quality content to recommend, and modders release new work faster than I can keep up.
